Our new 57,000 square foot manufacturing facility is dedicated to the manufacture of orthopedic implants, instruments and devices.  The facility is designed to meet both prototype and production volume requirements. This new building is the culmination of a $7 million expansion  launched in the fall of 2005. Along with this new building FMI purchased 17 new CNC machines that expanded our capability in multi-task and robotic automation equipment, greatly enhancing our ability to rapidly respond to customer requirements.  The new FMI facility is designed specifically to provide a focused manufacturing environment with comprehensive machining and metal finishing capabilities under one roof.  In addition, the building is designed to accommodate construction of a class 10,000 clean room to support sterile packaging and “dock to stock” shipping programs.

FMI Medical created a dedicated prototype center with capabilities identical to our production environment.  This cell is designed to provide quick-turn prototypes and rapid production scale-up in support of new product launches.

FMI Medical possesses comprehensive, in-house metal finishing & processing capabilities.  In most cases, your parts will be completed without ever leaving our facility.  Our experienced medical manufacturing personnel are trained in precision welding, sanding, buffing, heat treat, ultra-sonic cleaning, electro-polish, passivation and assembly.
